Our guide will wait for you near the Neptune fountain in Piazza Municipio to begin the tour: an exciting walk to discover the ancient Greek streets, the Roman underground excavations and the numerous squares present.
As you can see, the different cultural influences including Christianity and pagan have given the city varied traditions and cultures, a particularly evident aspect in the area of Piazza del Gesù and Piazza San Domenico Maggiore. In the markets of San Gregorio Armeno you will notice this duality in all the artefacts of the local shops, as well as in the baroque architecture of the Cathedral. Neapolitan culture is also inherent in the typical dishes and in the narrow alleys, full of musicians and dancers who will make your walk unique.
At the end of the free time the guide will take you to the monumental area of Naples where you can admire the medieval Castle of Anjou and one of the best neoclassical theatres, the San Carlo Theatre. You will then reach the Galleria Umberto located right in front of the San Carlo and then walk along Via Toledo and Piazza Plebiscito. The tour lasts approximately 5/6 hours and includes 2 different moments of free time, each lasting 45 minutes, one for shopping and one for lunch.
