Museo di Pithecusae e Villa Arbusto

Inside an 18th-century villa, the museum tells the story of Pithecusae, the first Greek colony in the West, founded right here on Ischia in the 8th century BC: among the finds is the famous Cup of Nestor, one of the oldest written Greek texts ever found.
